As a social work intern at Franklin Elementary, one of my duties is to educate chiildren on the effects of bullying. It occured to me that the focus shouldn't just be on educating and telling students "don't do it because..." and "if it happens you should...", but should also include a way to promote a community of caring--a place where bullying simply isn't an issue (yes, I realize this is a bit idealistic, but I'd rather aim to high than to low...). Behold the creation of Club RASKALS!

Mission:
RASKALS inspires members to practice kindness in order to create a community of caring. This is done through object lessons and hands on experience with creative community service projects, and is influenced by the original ideas of its members. Inspiration is fostered through positive reinforcement and seeing the difference small acts of kindness can make.
